This year’s Clerkenwell Design Week took place from May 19th to 21st and Bluestone Leasing’s interiors team was delighted to attend.
It was great for us to catch up with old friends and partners and view the latest trends in office interiors.
Here’s a run-down of our favourite trends showcased this year:
Colourful, Textured Fabric Accessories
Colourful fabrics and cushions can be used to add a whimsical touch to otherwise staid or traditional customer seating areas. We love these designs from Lucy Clive and Wallace Sewell:
Retro Inspired Furniture
Re-issued and mid-century reproduction furniture design was all the rage.
Vitra’s Prouvé RAW office edition showcased reissued classic pieces by Jean Prouvé like this sleek desk below.
While Cassina Re-issued key pieces by design legend Le Corbusier to celebrate 50 years of iconic furniture design.
Herman Miller rounded out this trend by mixing retro styling with its signature focus on modern comfort via its 1950’s influenced Jetty collection.
Ergonomic Furniture
Ergonomic furniture is a trend that’s here to stay. A comfortable, functional workspace increases employee productivity and Steelcase and Staverton showcased office solutions with employees in mind.
Steelcase’s Brody range of ergonomic workspaces feature a privacy screen to help workers maintain focus and feature a footrest and adaptive seating to allow each worker to create a comfortable personalised work environment.
Meanwhile height adjustable desks from Staverton’s SOS range allow employees to switch between sitting and standing desk options for their comfort.
